Citizenship
Council is honoured to play a role in ensuring your citizenship ceremony is a special experience for you, your friends and family.
Each year Council conducts a number of citizenship ceremonies – two of which coincide with Australia Day on 26 January and Citizenship Day on 17 September.
Upcoming ceremony dates are listed below:
- Thursday 20 June 2024 (morning at Hervey Bay)
- Tuesday 17 September 2024 (morning at Maryborough)
- Friday 15 November 2024 (morning at Maryborough)
Please note: The Department of Home Affairs has sole responsibility for allocating approved applicants to a ceremony. Council is not supplied with applicant details until approx. 4 weeks prior to a ceremony. Once Council has been provided with your details, an invitation will be forwarded promptly via email and post.
