Welcome to the Night Library

Visit the library after dark, with the launch of our new monthly late-night program, Night Library, on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Check out the range of free and fun activities coming up!

The Family History room will also be open from 4.30pm - 7pm.

Who

Activities are open to all ages and do not require bookings, unless otherwise noted. Children under 12 years require parent / guardian supervision at all times.

Hervey Bay Library

When

Thursday 19th June from 6-7pm, with the library closing at 7:30pm.

What

Batty Storytime

Drop in for a special bat themed Storytime at 6pm, followed by cool bat craft.

Build a Bat

Create your own origami bat, take your nocturnal creature home, or add to the library colony.

Microbit Mega-Bats

Spread you wings and create your own robot mega-bat using Microbit electronics at our Night Library Makerspace drop-in.

STEAM Challenge

Take on your friends and family with this completely batty STEAM challenge.

Fraser Coast Mirco-Bats

Learn all about these tiny flying mammals in a presentation by John Parsons, the President of Fraser Coast Micro Bats.
