Torquay Caravan Park managers

The Fraser Coast continues to stamp its reputation as a tourist friendly destination with the region receiving yet another prestigious travel award.

Mayor George Seymour said the presentation of the TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award to the Torquay Beachfront Tourist Park managers was good news for the region and spoke volumes about the service they provided.

“We congratulate Bruce and Varee Ginn for this well-deserved award. It is the second time the couple have won the award, the first was in 2019,” he said.

“Caravanning and camping are hugely popular and an extremely important part of our regional tourism industry and economy.

“Receiving these awards will attract more visitors to the park and to the Fraser Coast.”

Cr Seymour said the Council-owned caravan parks would attract even more favourable comments once a $17 million revamp was completed.

“Council has adopted Master Plans to guide the redevelopment of the four Council-owned beachfront caravan parks at Burrum Heads, Pialba, Scarness and Torquay,” he said.

“The master plans were developed in consultation with holiday makers so we could understand their needs and aspirations.

“Funding for the project has been included in Council’s long term Capital Program with the works to occur over the next five years, starting with Scarness where work is already underway.”

BelgraviaPRO manages all four of the Council’s beachfront caravan parks.

The venue has consistently received an average four- or five-star rating on Tripadvisor with several travellers commenting on how much they enjoyed their stay.

“It has been a pleasure working with the professional team from Belgravia,” Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said.

The Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award recognise the top 10% of accommodation providers worldwide, acknowledging the ‘best of the best’ in the industry.

The list is drawn from experiences of real travellers and is based on genuine experiences of millions of travellers worldwide.
