1000 Peace Cranes
In the month leading up to International Day of Peace on 21 September, Fraser Coast Libraries is inviting everyone in the community to join us and write a message of peace and fold a paper crane.
Peace crane folding workshops will be held at each branch on Tuesday 2 September:
- Hervey Bay & Tiaro Library – 10am
- Burrum Heads Library – 2pm
- Howard & Maryborough Library – 3.30pm
No bookings required. Written instructions are also available at each branch and staff are available to assist with questions.

A Justice of the Peace is available at the following locations and times:
- Hervey Bay Library - every Monday and Friday | 10am to noon
- Howard Library - every Tuesday | 10am to noon
