Fraser Coast Water Grid
The Fraser Coast Regional Council has completed a detailed business case for the Fraser Coast Water Grid, which would connect the Hervey Bay and Maryborough water supply schemes.

Beachfront Caravan Parks Redevelopment
Council operates four Fraser Coast Beachfront Tourist Parks at Burrum Heads, Torquay, Scarness and Pialba.

New Materials Recovery Facility
Council is committed to increasing recycling and reducing waste to landfill, and this new facility will play a vital role in achieving that goal.

Hervey Bay Aquatic Centre Master Plan Upgrade
The master plan ensures the aquatic centre remains a vital part of the community, providing modern and safe facilities for residents and visitors to relax, exercise, and connect.

Water Treatment Plant Upgrades
Teddington, Burgowan, and Howard Water Treatment Plant Upgrades.

Howard Sewage Treatment Plant
The $6.8M Howard Sewerage Project will provide a new sewerage treatment facility that will service existing properties currently connected to the wastewater treatment system.

Pulgul Sewage Treatment Plant
A major upgrade to the existing Pulgul Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) off Cicada Lane Urangan to cater for population growth in the Hervey Bay area.

Hervey Bay City Centre Revitalisation
The Hervey Bay CBD Master Plan was developed to guide the growth and improvement of the CBD over the next 20 years.

Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct Master Plan
The draft master plan, which was endorsed by Council on 22 February 2023, is the strategic vision for the future staged development of the Fraser Coast Sports and Recreation Precinct.

Planning Scheme Review Project
Council is currently undertaking an overall review of the Fraser Coast Planning Scheme 2014.
Completed Projects

Boundary Road Extension
Project completed: August 2024
The project provided for the completion of the missing East-West link between Boundary Road and Kawungan Way, which is approximately 1,900m long. -
Boundary Road and Robert Street signalisation
Project Completed: November 2024
Fraser Coast motorists can now enjoy a safer and smoother journey through one of Hervey Bay’s busiest intersections, with an upgrade of the Boundary Road, Hughes Road and Robert Street intersection completed months ahead of schedule. -
Hervey Bay and Maryborough Pump Tracks
Maryborough Pump Track was completed in July 2023, and Hervey Bay Pump Track was completed in August 2024.
