Road Closures

Road reconstruction works - Martin Street between Tooth Street and Long Street
9 September to 23 December 2025

Council has commenced a project to undertake road reconstruction works in Martin Street between Tooth Street and Long Street.

To enable the completion of these works in a safe working environment, Martin Street between Tooth Street and Long Street will be closed during the period 9 September to 23 December 2025, local traffic only permitted.

Council apologises for the inconveniences caused relating to this temporary road closure and thanks you in anticipation of your understanding and cooperation during the course of this work.

Astro Drive, Urangan - Temporary road and footpath closure from 1 July 2024

Astro Drive Urangan, will be temporarily closed from the intersection of John Duigan Drive to End. This will be closed to vehicular traffic until future development within the site occurs.

Esplanade, Hervey Bay (vicinity of Pialba Caravan Park) - crossover construction and stormwater connection
10-12 December 2025 and 15-17 December (weather permitting)

Council’s Contractor will be undertaking crossover construction and stormwater connection works along a section of the Esplanade in front of the Pialba Caravan Park on 10-12 December 2025 and 15-17 December between the hours of 9am and 2pm each day, weather permitting.

To enable the completion of these works, a temporary lane closure will be implemented in this location with a one lane/two-way traffic arrangement under traffic control being put into place whilst the works are being completed.

Iindah Road (Koala Crescent to Teddington Road), Tinana - culvert replacement works
27 October 2025 to 9 January 2026

Council’s Contractor will be replacing existing culverts located on Iindah Road in the vicinity of 102 Iindah Road, Maryborough between the period 27 October to 9 January 2026.

To allow for the completion of these works, Iindah Road between Koala Crescent and Teddington Road will be closed with a detour put in place during this road closure period.

Sandpiper Street (between River Heads Road and Turnstone Boulevard)
Turnstone Boulevard (between Sandpiper Street and Teal Way)
Road pavement maintenance works - 8-24 December 2025 from 7am-4pm (weather permitting)

Council will undertake sectional road pavement maintenance works on Sandpiper Street (between River Heads Road and Turnstone Boulevard) and on Turnstone Boulevard (between Sandpiper Street and Teal Way) from 7am to 4pm during the period 8–24 December 2025.

To allow for the completion of these works, sectional closures of Sandpiper Street (between River Heads Road and Turnstone Boulevard) and Turnstone Boulevard (between Sandpiper Street and Teal Way) will be implemented. Local traffic will be permitted access while the closures are in place. Initial works will commence on Sandpiper Street.
