Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee

The Environment and Sustainability Advisory Committee assists Council by considering and providing input to environmental and/or sustainability matters across the Fraser Coast. Topics covered by the Committee include:

  • Natural environment and environmental priorities
  • Climate change
  • Cultural resilience
  • Ecological sustainability
  • Conservation strategies
  • Public awareness
  • Council’s Threatened Species Action Plan.

The Committee consists of Councillors, key Council staff and community representatives with personal and/or professional experience and commitment to understanding the principles of environmental management and sustainability.

Community representatives are appointed by Council via expressions of interest. Being a committee member is voluntary, and we thank the current community representatives who participate in this committee for their time and input.

Expressions of interest are open from 9am, Thursday, 21 November 2024 and close Friday, 13 December 2024.
