Local Law 1 - Administration

Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2011  and Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2019 apply across the Fraser Coast region with the most recent versions of both laws being gazetted on 22 December 2023.  These local laws were originally gazetted on 14 February 2014 and have been amended over time.  These amendments are consolidated into an updated version to make them clear and easy to use. 

The Administration local laws provide a legal and procedural framework for Council to administer, implement and enforce the local laws, subordinate local laws and specified regulatory powers under legislation, and to provide for miscellaneous administrative matters.

On 25 January 2023, Council made Administration (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No.1) 2022 which commenced on 3 February 2023 and relates to Temporary Home provisions in Subordinate Local Law No. 1 (Administration) 2019 Schedule 8.  These provisions continue to expire on 31 December 2027.
