Fraser Coast Libraries encourages online learning through the provision of online databases that provide learning services accessible through your library membership and links to recommended learning options that can be accessed by any user without requiring a library membership.

  • Haynes

    Access hundreds of online car and motorcycle manuals through Haynes AllAccess Manuals. Library members can access the manuals directly on the library computers but also from home using their library membership number.

    If you are researching in the fields of social sciences, literature, local or family history, this is the tool for you. You can also get access to hundreds of historical newspapers.

    Access to free eResources including journal articles, newspapers, company and industry data, music scores, sound recordings, eBooks, eJournals, encyclopedias and directories.

    You need to create a State Library of Queensland Membership to use these resources.

  • Ancestrylibrary

    A key online resource for genealogical resource, the Ancestry Library Edition database includes: Australian convict index, Australian electoral rolls, United Kingdom census records, British Army World War I pension records, United States census records and much more.

    Due to licensing agreements, this online resource can only be accessed using the link on the public computers at our library branches.

    Findmypast

    A UK-based online genealogy service. The site hosts over four billion searchable records of census, directory and historical record information.

    These databases can be accessed for free in the Family History Association room at the Hervey Bay Library or the Maryborough Library.

    Corley Explorer

    Explore photographs of Queensland houses from the 1960s and 70s, from the State Library of Queensland's Corley Collection.
