One of the lovely things about plants is that they reward your care, time and patience. There is joy in watching a plant grow. Sometimes its reward is foliage, flower and scent; sometimes it is with food. There is nothing like the satisfaction that comes with harvesting fresh herbs and vegetables from your garden for use in your kitchen. Healthy and nutritious, not to mention more fun than supermarket shopping.
