Welcome to the Night Library
Visit the library after dark, with the launch of our new monthly late-night program, Night Library, on the 3rd Thursday of each month. Check out the range of free and fun activities coming up!
Activities are open to all ages and do not require bookings, unless otherwise noted. Children under 12 years require parent or guardian supervision at all times.
Hervey Bay Library
Thursday 15th May from 6-7pm, with the library closing at 7:30pm.
Bedtime Storytime
Be sure to bring your teddy bear along for a calming bedtime story session at 6pm.
Ben’s Book Club
Join this special viewing of a recording of Ben’s Book Club, where Ben Hobson interviewed Riley James, author of the icy thriller ‘The Chilling’.
Game On
Explore our range of tabletop and board games, try something new or rediscover an old favourite.
Making with Microbits
Drop in and try your hand at the basics of electronics using Microbits! Experiment with different designs and explore the easy-to-use components and intuitive block coding. Suitable for ages 8 years and over.
Sphero Chariot Races
Book your ticket to build your chariot and compete in our first Night Library Sphero Chariot races. First race at 5.30, Second race at 6.30pm.
Tickets are limited – one ticket required per family / up to 5 attendees.
