Australia day award recipients 2021 600

There is now less than a month to get your nominations in for the 2022 Fraser Coast Australia Day Awards.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said the Australia Day Awards were an opportunity to recognise our unsung local heroes.

“If you know someone in our local community who has gone above and beyond, then nominate them for a Fraser Coast Australia Day award,” he said.

“We all know someone who inspires us. Let’s give them the recognition and praise they deserve and nominate them for a 2022 Australia Day Award.

“It is their community spirit that makes the Fraser Coast such a great place to live, work and play.”

All our community champions will be celebrated on January 19. The 2022 Australia Day Awards presentation will be held at the Brolga Theatre and Convention Centre in Maryborough on Wednesday, January 26.

“I urge everyone, individuals and members of service clubs, sporting clubs and schools to nominate their hard-working colleagues and mates whose efforts deserve to be recognised,” Cr Seymour said.
