The Fraser Coast Inclusive Access Advisory Committee, to be chaired by Councillor Zane O’Keefe, includes:

  • Jessica Lane;
  • Phillip Weinheimer;
  • Joelle Wedd;
  • Justine Linderberg;
  • Ursula Foster;
  • Mike Burt;
  • Kate Hills; and
  • Robert Savage.

“Through feedback from the Committee, Council will be able to respond to the needs and aspirations of people of all abilities who live, work, and study in or visit our region,” Cr O’Keefe said.

“The Committee’s objectives are to advocate for solutions to the issues that impact on life opportunities of people of all abilities; participate in the development of Council’s Disability Action Plan; and assist Council to become a leader in delivering infrastructure and services for people of all abilities.

“By working together we can identify, raise awareness and determine approaches that will strengthen the community and Council’s ability to address social issues.

“I was very pleased that Council received 39 expressions of interest from community members interested in becoming members of the Committee.

“It shows that as a community we are interested and take seriously the need to find solutions to issues that impact on people’s lives.”
