Just a Farmer is an award-winning film showcasing the heart and hardships of Australian farming life.
Internationally renowned actor Hugh Jackman has endorsed the film, which was written, produced and starred in by Leila McDougall.
The film brings together some of Australia’s finest actors, including Robert Taylor (The Matrix), Susan Prior (The Rover and Puberty Blues), Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly, Blue Heelers and All Saints), Trevor Jamieson (Rabbit Proof Fence and Storm Boy), Louise Siversen (The Flying Doctors and House Husbands), Eddie Baroo (Australia and The Dry) and Nathalie Morris (Bump).

Time: Free BBQ dinner from 5pm, followed by the movie screening 6.30pm – 8.15pm
This event is outdoors and will go ahead subject to weather conditions. Please bring your own folding chairs or picnic blanket.
The Maryborough Cricket Club is a Licensed Venue and strictly NO BYO alcohol or alcohol consumption outside of the Licensed Venue is allowed.
An additional community movie night will be held in Tiaro date TBC.
Please note the movie is rated M, recommended for mature audiences and not recommended for children under the age of 15.
It does contain strong language and deals with confronting issues related to mental health.
This film seeks to raise awareness of mental health challenges in rural communities and encourage people to seek help.
