Water Play area to be refurbished

The water play area at Maryborough Aquatic Centre will be closed for refurbishment from Monday, April 17 until the end of May.

“Council scheduled the six-week project to be undertaken during the colder months to minimise interruption to aquatic centre users,” Cr Daniel Sanderson said.

“The project includes replacing the textured surfaces, fixtures and inlets, to reinvigorate the area which was opened as part of the new pool complex in 2012.

“Unfortunately, during the process to remove the old surface and fixtures there will be times where noise levels will be elevated which may cause interruptions to facility programming.
