Fraser Coast Christmas Lights Trail 2023

It’s that time of year when ordinary streets transform into an extraordinary display of Christmas lights!

The much-anticipated Fraser Coast Christmas Lights Trail maps are now ready, with more than 150 homes and businesses participating and six streets vying for the title of Christmas Street this year.

An interactive map is now available on Council’s website at www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/festive or you can print copies to help you find all the best Christmas lights in your area.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour thanked all those decorating their homes and participating in the trail for helping to spread joy and festive cheer.

“The Christmas-New Year period is a wonderful time of year and following the lights trail has become a popular tradition,” he said.

“I really encourage people to go and have a look to appreciate the hard work that has gone into making the displays. They add so much to the Christmas atmosphere; the range of ideas and kaleidoscope of colours is truly spectacular.”

Cr Seymour said the winner of Christmas Street would be revealed on Council’s Facebook page in coming days, with the Christmas Street sign to be installed there for the next 12 months.

“A huge congratulations to all six streets who entered this year. I have started travelling around the displays and the quality of presentations never ceases to amaze,” he said.

Christmas Street entries are highlighted in green on the maps and include Kingfisher Drive, Oakhurst; Slater Street, Oakhurst; Pantlins Lane, Urraween; Carmen Close, Granville; Ronaldo Way, Urangan and Westminster Court, Kawungan.
