Special offer: For the month of April, ALL Fraser Coast residents can claim a $100 reimbursement when they desex their dog or cat! 

Having a dog can bring great joy, but it also comes with great responsibility including desexing, vaccinations, registration, exercise, training and more.

Important Information

  • Dog registration: required from 12 weeks of age or within 14 days of moving to the Fraser Coast.
  • Free first-time dog registration: up to the current renewal end date, being 31 October each year.
  • Desexing rebate: $100 back for Fraser Coast residents who desex their pet in April (normally for concession card holders only). 
  • Lower fees for desexed dogs: enjoy ongoing savings as a responsible pet owner.
  • Microchipping and registration: helps lost pets return home quickly.
  • Your registration fees: contribute to the cost of Council’s animal management operations, including compliance inspections, dog attack investigations, running the adoption centre, fenced off-leash areas, and responsible pet care programs.
  • Keep details updated: Ensure your contact info is current and display your dog’s tag.
