Fraser Coast CommuniTea Set - Bauple

Back

The Fraser Coast CommuniTea Set art workshops will be held across the Fraser Coast from 30/11/24 - 8/2/25. Come together - for fun and paint

Fraser Coast CommuniTea Set project seeks to reduce social isolation and support community recovery by building community resilience through connections and friendships.

Council will be hosting 10 community-based art workshops across the local government area from November 2024 to February 2025.

The Inland South workshop will be hosted by Bauple at the Bauple Recreation Grounds. We encourage residents from Owanyilla, Tiaro and Bauple and other areas to attend this workshop. All Fraser Cost residents are welcome.

The art work from the workshops will be used to create a CommuniTea Set that represents the uniqueness of Fraser Coast communities - visually telling the story of the Fraser Coast.

The pieces of the tea set will be like a community puzzle that fits together to be a symbol of the Fraser Coast.

The workshops will not only create art work to build the tea set they will support community members to connect with each other - creating friendships and meeting neighbours - and ultimately building community connections.

It is said by many that no matter the issues, a cup of tea can solve anything.

The workshops will include a high tea for participants to chat, connect and come together.

When: Saturday, November 30 2024 from 9am-12pm
Where: Bauple Recreation Ground Community Hall
