A new playground and park area is being built at Glenwood Park. It will have fun equipment for different ages and abilities, a sports half court, shade sails, seating, paths, and more.
This project is part of the Glenwood Community Space Master Plan. It aims to create a safe and fun place where people of all ages and abilities can play and relax. Council asked the community for feedback to help design the playground.
Construction will start on 28 April 2025 and is expected to finish by 20 June 2025, depending on the weather.
A company called Regal Innovations, which specialises in landscaping and parks, will build the playground.
The total cost is $447,000. This money is coming from Council’s capital works budget.
The new space will give Glenwood families and residents a better place to play, meet, and stay active. It will include all-abilities access and improved links to the community hall. The project reflects what the community said they wanted during public feedback.
