Read eMagazines for free using the Libby app
Read eMagazines for free via the libraries’ Libby app
Library members can now read more than 3700 magazines online for free following an upgrade of the Libby service.
Fraser Coast Libraries regional manager Tara Webb said eMagazines had been introduced to Libby to complement the eBooks and eAudiobooks which were already available for free.
She said the magazine titles available ranged from New Scientist and Auto Express to Woman’s Day and Australian Home Beautiful.
“Libby also has magazines to read in more than 15 languages including German, Chinese and Spanish,” Ms Webb said.
“Accessing the eMagazines is as easy as following the link on the library website, if you’re using a laptop or desktop computer, or downloading the Libby app on your tablet or mobile phone.
“You then enter your library membership number and PIN and choose “magazines” from the filter section of the search function.
“You can further refine your search by subject, such as fashion or sports, by language or by audience.
“I’d encourage everyone to explore the fantastic new reading material on offer through Libby.”
She said anyone who needed help using Libby should talk to staff at their nearest library branch.
