DO NOT SWIM: Water following flood events contains debris, hazards and pollutants. The public are advised not to enter the water, including our beaches at the moment due to these risks.

SAFE CLEAN UP: Please wear protective clothes such as long sleeve shirts, eye-wear, gloves and rubber boots. Debris may be contaminated with bacteria which can cause serious health issues.

Police have this morning revoked an emergency declaration for Maryborough as the recovery operation continues.

UPDATE Bridges: Burrum River Bridge is open, Schultz Bridge is open, Saltwater Creek Bridge is open. Lamington Bridge is open.
Granville Bridge is open. Granville residents are no longer isolated, some surrounding roads are still closed so please follow the detour signs.

Bridge inspections are being carried out accross the region and will be re-opened as quickly as possible. 

Ergon Energy: Ergon crews have begun site inspections in the Maryborough CBD, they ask that people be patient.
Crews are working as quickly as possible. There will be some flood-affected areas that will take longer because they can't be accessed yet.

Disaster Recovery Payment: Federal Government announced Adults will be eligible for $1000 and $400 for children from Tuesday 11 January 2022.

Volunteering: We are encouraging people to reach out directly to friends, family or businesses that are affected or register for emergency volunteering at Emergency Volunteering Queensland
