Pavement replacement project

A $500,000 project is underway to replace the pavement in St Andrews Drive, Namwen Court and Palm Meadows Place in Hervey Bay.

“As part of the Council’s regular inspection program it was identified that the in these streets has reached the end of its working life,” Councillor David Lewis said.

“The roads are being reprofiled, the existing pavement is ground off, and replaced with new asphalt overlay.

“It is anticipated that the works will finish by the end of next week, weather permitting.”

Council urges motorists to avoid the streets if possible while the works are underway.

“While the contractor will endeavour to maintain access to properties while the work is completed, there may be short periods where access will be temporarily restricted.
