Bidwill Park

Children from Bidwill and nearby areas will soon be able to swing and climb on a new playground in Little Tinana Recreation Reserve, with installation work now underway.

Fraser Coast Regional Councillor Daniel Sanderson said the project involves replacing the old playground, which had reached the end of its lifespan.

“Little Tinana Recreation Reserve, also known as Bidwill Park, is a fantastic spot for family fun,” he said.

“This nearly 20-hectare park on Langers Road in Bidwill offers a range of facilities, including a basketball half-court, sports field, tennis court, toilets, a barbecue area and soon, a new playground.”

The new playground has been designed with a broad range of users in mind, in consultation with a playground designer.

“Council is committed to creating connected, inclusive communities and spaces, and this playground upgrade is a great example of that,” Cr Sanderson said.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of November, weather permitting.
