WetSide Water Park made a splash this summer, drawing more than 55,000 visitors during the school holidays, cementing its reputation as one of the Fraser Coast’s top family destinations.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said the impressive attendance figures underscored WetSide’s significance as both a vibrant community hub and a tourist drawcard.

“WetSide is a fantastic place to cool off and have fun, offering something for everyone—including waterslides, the newly renovated TotSide for under-fives, and the thrilling Aqua Ninja course,” he said.

“From 14 December 2024 to 27 January 2025, WetSide welcomed 55,058 visitors, showcasing its continued appeal throughout the school holidays.

“The waterslides remain a crowd favourite, with an impressive 6,486 slide passes purchased during the holiday period.

"Complementing the waterslides is our new Aqua Ninja Course, which has grown in popularity since its debut in 2024, with participation increasing by 47% compared to the same period last year.

Cr Seymour said Council had invested significantly in maintaining and upgrading WetSide over the past two years to keep the facility fresh and inviting.

“Recent improvements include resurfacing and new water play equipment at TotSide, upgraded electrical works, and new decking, chairs, and tables,” he said.

"The popularity of this award-winning park continues to soar, and we look forward to another fantastic year ahead.

“WetSide Water Park is an important part of the Fraser Coast Regional Council’s plan to build better communities together, maintain our unique lifestyle and grow our local economy.”

WetSide is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Sunday with more information available at www.frasercoast.qld.gov.au/wetside-water-park.
