Hervey Bay Business Recovery Hub opening

Recent flooding from Cyclone Alfred has significantly affected Hervey Bay businesses, and we recognise the challenges they are facing.
To support recovery, Council and the Queensland Government have set up the Hervey Bay Business Recovery Hub at the Hervey Bay Jobs Ready Office at 65 Main Street, Pialba.
The hub opens at midday today (17 March 2025) and will be open all week.
Opening hours:
- Monday: 12pm - 6pm
- Tuesday: 10am - 6pm
- Wednesday to Friday: 9am - 4pm
Support available:
- Council and State Government representatives providing recovery advice.
- A small business counsellor offering mental health support.
- Direct connections to government agencies for financial aid, including concessional loans.
- Access to flood assistance materials and utility contacts (Ergon and NBN).
Financial assistance:
- Disaster Assistance Loans – Up to $250,000 for repairs, restocking, and sustaining operations.
- Essential Working Capital Loans – Up to $100,000 for operational expenses.
