Creative teens invited to join Art Club at Gallery

The popular after-school program Art Club for Teens returns to Hervey Bay Regional Gallery next week, with registrations now open for young creatives eager to explore their artistic side.

Fraser Coast Regional Council Arts and Culture spokesperson Sara Diana Faraj said this engaging nine-week course is designed for young creatives aged 10 to 17, offering them an opportunity to explore and develop their artistic skills in a supportive and fun environment.

“Giving young people a creative outlet is so important—it encourages imagination and self-expression while building confidence, problem-solving abilities, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts,” she said.

“This year’s Art Club will be led by Leelee West, a highly creative Fraser Coast artist known for her bold, striking works that blend vivid storytelling with deep emotional expression.

“Leelee will draw inspiration from the current exhibitions at Hervey Bay Regional Gallery to guide and inspire our teens as they create their own unique artworks.

“Now in its third year, the program has gone from strength to strength, with this year’s program set to be exciting and creative with a renowned local artist.”
