Facelift for Black Stump Park
Black Stump Park on the Esplanade at Point Vernon will be given a facelift during March and April.
The project includes new play equipment.
The existing rope climber will be removed to make way for new play equipment that will cater for young children from ages 1yr to 13yr. It features a slide and climbing frame.
The existing figure eight concrete pathway within the park will be converted into a miniature roadway for young children to ride bikes, scooters and other toys while learning basic road rules.
Line marking, crossings and painted signage will be installed.
Two small empty softfall areas will be removed and turfed to increase green space or for further embellishments in future budgets.
Drainage will be improved to eliminate ponding within the park.
