Check In Qld app being introduced at libraries

Fraser Coast Libraries will be introducing the Queensland Government’s Check In Qld COVID-19 contact tracing app from today.

Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour said a mobile device was needed to use the Check In Qld app but help would be available for visitors who did not own a mobile device.

He said using Check In Qld was as simple as scanning a QR code on entry and pre-registration was available for Apple and Android devices at: https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld

“The most important thing to remember is we are doing this to keep the community safe and comply with the Queensland Government’s contract tracing requirements,” he said.

“Personal data will be available to Queensland Health in the event of an outbreak.”
