Flooding in Maryborough is now approaching the peak, which has been revised to 10.3m. The peak is expected to last to about 2am and then slowly start dropping throughout Monday.
All premises within the Maryborough CBD now have to be evacuated. With the urban area flood expected to reach 10.3m by around 6pm tonight, many more streets are likely to be affected.
The Bureau of Meteorology expects the river to peak at 10.5m by 6pm tonight (Sunday, January 9) and remain at 10.5m until about 2am on Monday morning before slowly dropping during Monday.
